Running a business while juggling caregiving, personal expectations, and emotional health is exhausting—but you don’t have to do it alone. In this empowering event, we’ll explore what it really means to build a village that supports you emotionally, practically, and professionally. Whether you’re navigating burnout, questioning your capacity, or simply craving a community that gets you, this space will help you reconnect with your needs and your power.
Together, we’ll unpack the silent weight many women carry, release the pressure to be perfect, and design intentional support systems that fuel your vision rather than drain it. This is your invitation to stop suffering in silence and start building a life and business that are rooted in support, authenticity, and connection.
Chelsea began her entrepreneurial journey in 2014 as an administrative consultant, dedicating her expertise to aiding small business owners in streamlining business processes. Her passion for nurturing talent soon led her to guide aspiring authors in self-publishing, successfully bringing 20 books to life within a span of just three years.
With a vision rooted in connection and emotional wellness, Chelsea founded Sōmōcom Lab (the Social-Emotional Communication Lab). Initially created to help her own children navigate their emotions during the pandemic, the company has evolved into a beacon of support for emotional intelligence, helping people create emotionally healthy and safe environments in homes, workplaces, and educational institutions.
Chelsea’s innovative approach and the impact of her company have been recognized and celebrated in renowned media outlets such as PBS, Parents Magazine, the Today Show, Black Enterprise, and Care.com, highlighting her significant contributions to her field.
Chelsea uses her childhood experiences, mental health journey, and life with her husband and two kids to share messages of hope and inspiration with children, teens, and adults alike. She received her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Cincinnati, master’s in Macro Social Work from Boston College, and a Women in Entrepreneurship certificate from Cornell University.
