August President’s Message

July 25, 2019
#ThisIsYourTribe Meet Melissa Blackburn and Danielle Rim
July 31, 2019

It is an exciting time to become the President of NAWBO Columbus! This is truly an honor.  I am thrilled for this opportunity and excited to join other strong female business owners as well as women in business in their journey to success.

As I take the lead as your President, I welcome all new and existing members. Reid Hoffman the founder of LinkedIn has said, “the fastest way to change yourself is to surround yourself with people who are already the way you want to be.” This is so true and echoes throughout NAWBO. There are members who have lived through the experiences and challenges you face. There are members that can help you navigate the different seasons in life, advise you on your business, and mentor you every step of the way. There will be women who need to be mentored by you.  Take advantage of these resources – you’ll find that these relationships turn into your closest friends and biggest champions.

It has been a passion of mine to be part of an organization that supports other business owners. NAWBO has been a significant piece in my puzzle to success. To be part of a community that shares your values and interests is immeasurable. That is why I encourage you to take a leap of faith and immerse yourself in this tribe.

I invite you to join us on Thursday, August 15th for our annual meeting where your new board of directors will be installed.  You can register HERE. This will be an exciting meeting with keynote speaker, Mary Miller, CEO of JANCOA. Come and be part of our “year in review” to celebrate our successes and look forward to what will be happening in the future.

My passion is to ensure the advancement and empowerment of women. I do this by being part of NAWBO Columbus, the largest chapter in the country.

This is my tribe. This is your tribe.
