Join NAWBO Columbus and Dr. Arianna Howard for our December Monthly Meeting focused on Health & Wellness. How do we keep crushing those business goals amid rising supply costs, an incessant pandemic, and global political unrest? Together we will explore 3 critical conditions for brains to function optimally and drop kick fear in the face.

MEET OUR SPEAKER: DR. ARIANNA HOWARD BS, MED

Dr. Arianna Howard is a compassion influencer, empath, and master trainer. She possesses varied educational experience, serving as preschool and middle school teacher, guidance counselor, high school administrator and trauma coach over her 16-year career. Her consulting firm, Plant-A-Seed Educational Consulting, inspires compassion-based, anti-racist, trauma-informed initiatives that cultivate safe spaces to work, learn, and play.

Dr. Howard has real, lived experience. As the eldest of three raised in a poor, single-parent household, Dr. Howard has intimate knowledge of poverty, racism, and generational trauma. She has been able to break free from ancestral cycles of mental illness, domestic violence, and low self-worth. Dr. Howard earned a bachelor’s degree in child development, a master’s degree in middle grades education, and a doctoral degree in Literacy Studies from Ohio State University. Her dissertation research celebrates the ways single, Black mothers support their children’s education. Dr. Howard is an active community member and has authored numerous peer- and editor-reviewed articles. In addition to training, coaching, and consulting, Dr. Howard maintains her blog, Confessions of a PhD Chick, and YouTube channel.

Her charismatic presence draws you to the edge of your discomfort, daring you to dive deeply and challenging you to question, “How can I be better? How can I do better?” You will leave equipped with practical tools to do The Work – both personally and professionally.
