Tell us about your business:
A whole-company recruiting studio.
Our mission is to empower everyone in their quest for career happiness, bridging the gap between the opportunity and the human, and fostering connections that lead to lasting success for all.
Our commitment is to provide an environment where everyone – candidates and clients alike feels understood and supported.
We specialize in helping companies identify and hire candidates for positions that move the business forward.
We focus on Executive, Direct-Hire Placement, Contract-to-Hire, Fractional, and Temporary (project) positions. We have longer guarantees (up to 6 months!) and offer companies more flexible terms because we believe in long-term career and team happiness. We value a close collaboration to ensure a positive partnership.
We also offer candidates career advisement, resume writing and support during a search.
For every team, every candidate, every client… every search is a personal experience.
What inspired you to get into your business?
I’ve always loved creating safe spaces, networking, connecting people and helping others share their stories. By doing those things in the recruitment and staffing space, I can create lasting impact for companies and job seekers. It’s a challenging and a deeply joyful experience when a connection is made. By creating evrecruit.io, I can provide services and tailor approach efforts in a way that I’d always gravitated towards. I had known for some time that I wanted to create something that reached beyond a transactional experience and to do more. It took a job loss to be brave enough to take the risk. Having experienced being on both sides of the table changed my perspective and continues to inspire me to grow evrecruit.io to better benefit both career seekers and clients equally and hopefully one day be a company where people bring their whole-selves and love to work.
Why did you join NAWBO?
I remember learning about NAWBO several years ago. I recall thinking that it was a group of women who were movers and shakers and entrepreneurs, owners and women operating at a level that was beyond my reach. This past year, I was invited to an event and realized, “this is me… these women are me and I am them”. And, I still have a lot to learn. There was so much knowledge, support, wisdom and connection that I’m thrilled to now be a part of and welcomed into. I’m excited to give back as well.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
“You can have your ego, or you can have your dreams. Be as true to yourself as you can possibly be”. & “get more data, don’t limit imagination”.
What is your favorite activity to do on a day off?
Besides wasting half a day on my front porch? I am a DIY handy person at home (yes… I know the stereotype, but if the shoe fits). I travel, often spending a lot of my time with friends and family.
What is the most important lesson you learned or advice you were given as a business owner?
Someone told me once to seek advice from those qualified to give it and… I have met many sharp business owners since who’ve given great advice. Recently, the advise of tightening communication, and not over-diversifying offerings have hit home. Undiagnosed, but likely ADHD these areas require effort. I know others who can relate! So many ideas!! Right?!
