July 25, 2019Member of the Year is awarded to a member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for NAWBO Columbus during the past year. She is someone who has given her time, talent, and/or treasure to strengthen the organization. She has worked to influence the growth and development of our organization while guiding individual members in their personal and professional growth and development. She has modeled effective leadership and commitment to the Chapter over time.
Voting is open to all NAWBO Columbus Members. Please remember, one vote per member.

Why she has been nominated: “Hilary has been invaluable to the work of the finance committee, going above and beyond to prepare financial projections and analyze the organization’s cash flow.”
Alison B. Forche, Forche Law & Rob Forche Orthodontics

Why she has been nominated: Alison is a member of the Programming Committee and she is always one of the very first to volunteer. She is eager to help in any way she can and she promotes NAWBO to non-members on a regular basis. She is a cheerleader for us: present often, always giving back, and promoting our organization and values on a regular basis.

Why she has been nominated: Cathy works to promote NAWBO and its benefits. She has been a great asset to the Communications Committee. She has made connections for others without asking anything in return.

Why she has been nominated: Molly is a calm, steady, consistent and supportive presence at many NAWBO events. She is always ready to jump in to staff an exhibit table or greet potential members in the huddle. Molly does an outstanding job welcoming all guests and members and is a joy to work with. She is an active and trustworthy member of the membership committee.

Why she has been nominated: Merry has been a tremendous asset to the Public Policy committee this year and was critical to getting the Women Business Certification bill passed. She is willing to go above and beyond to leverage her status as a successful business owner and her social capital to advance the policy agenda of NAWBO. She is a model of what it means to be an active NAWBO member.

Why she has been nominated: Catherine served as President in 2017-18. As well as President-Elect and Past President. She continues to be an active member of the Public Policy Committee and she’s a passionate advocate for NAWBO Columbus in the community.

Why she has been nominated: Carmen joined our newly created Governance Committee in December 2018. She assisted with the creation of an annual performance review process for our executive director and consults on the design and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. She is also a member of the newly created Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
