Tell us about your business.
I am a Certified Business Coach & Executive Trainer, the CEO and Founder of Wise, Armstrong and Associates, LLC, Founder and Host of the Podcast “Red Lipstick Chronicles – Tips From The Lips of Successful Entrepreneurs”, a Certified Executive Trainer, a Motivational and Transformation Keynote Speaker, the Author of the best-selling book, “Activating Your Gifts”, and I’m currently writing my second book.
Wise, Armstrong and Associates, LLC is a Business Coaching and Consulting Firm. As a Business Expansion Coach & Strategist, I teach small business owners, through a seven-step system, how to transform their profits by growing their spiritual beliefs, up-leveling their branding, marketing, selling and profitability strategies. I focus more on working with business owners who ask the question, “what’s next?”; the business owner who is past the start-up phase, have at least two or more employees, earning revenue, and trying to figure out what the next system and/or strategy is needed. I help them uncover the business gaps that are causing them to leave money on the table and preventing them from experiencing growth at accelerated levels.
I have established a library/online business center for business owners called the “Unstoppable Community Resource Center (UCRC)”. This online business center provides coaching, consulting, and educational/training modules. Through the strategic blend of coaching, consulting and mentorship, clients experience guidance, support and accountability. My clients grow their businesses on average from 60-200% in 4-12 months after joining my Coaching Programs.
Some of the ways that I help my clients:
- Mental and Personal Development to prepare for business growth and abundance mindsets
- Up-leveling of speaking presence, platform and performance in order to connect to ideal clients
- Identification of Business Gaps, in order to generate more revenue
- Visibility, credibility and social media strategies
- Development of high-level content to up-level brand message
- Internal and external marketing messages to clearly connect to the right market and speak the same language as ideal audience
- Email campaigns, sequences and segmentations with Customer Relations Management Systems (CRMS)
- Effectively create conversations around sales, to master sales conversations, conversions and management, in order to get paid what they deserve without leaving money on the table
- Development of strong pricing and packaging strategies
- Development around business operational systems and infrastructure, in order to build a business that supports high-level growth
- Evaluate of workforce talent and identify initiatives, in order to optimize leadership skills and presence, which will maximize productivity and performance in the team and company’s culture
- Build the type of business that will create a sustainable, yet profitable, Legacy for the future
As a Certified Executive Trainer on the consulting side of my company, I work with organizations and corporations across the country in the areas of Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership and Team Development.
What inspired you to get into your business?
Before fully developing my Coaching & Consulting Firm, I was a Top Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics for 14 years. I traveled all over the country teaching business owners how to grow their business, while balancing being mothers and working in the corporate arena. As a Sales Director, I earned 7 Mary Kay Career Cars (4 were Pink Cadillacs), with over $500,000 in retail sales in one year with a unit of more than 200 consultants. As a result of my success and the success of my team, I was featured in some of Mary Kay’s Marketing Materials. Even with my success, I felt as though I was in a box because I was restricted to helping business owners build businesses inside of Mary Kay. Many business owners outside of Mary Kay witnessed my success and requested my help in growing their businesses. However, Mary Kay took up the majority of my time, and I was limited as to who I could serve. After realizing my gift was not boxable, I retired from my Mary Kay Career and focused 100% on building my Coaching Firm and supporting those in need of my services.
What are your three best practices or best tips that every NAWBO member needs to hear?
- The best thing you can do as an individual is invest in yourself; Invest in your Personal and Business Development. There is always someone who has more knowledge than you, who can assist you, as you up-level your success. You must remember that you are only capable of taking yourself as far as your current level of experience, knowledge and expertise can take you.
- High-level success cannot be achieved without taking risks, not being afraid to fall, hard work, dedication, motivation and accountability.
- The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. You can not complain about something you are not willing to put action towards fixing. You can not continue to do the same things over and over and expect different results.
What does your future look like?
My goal is to take my Coaching Program to a National Level and grace as many stages and national platforms as possible, as I continue to help change business owners’ lives. I always desire to serve others. My ministry is my business and serving others through the platform that God has given me is my purpose. The title of my Community is the “Unstoppable Community” and the reason I use the word “Unstoppable” is because through my story of ups and downs, I have become “unstoppable”; I refuse to quit. My desire is to teach business owners all over the world how to activate this character trait of persistency, in order to be exactly who God desires them to be. My future looks bright.
What do you do in your free time?
I hold many positions in my church, where my spirituality is very important. I also love reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. My son Brandon Charles (10) is heavily involved in soccer and basketball, which keeps my husband and I very busy. We are movie buffs and our special outings consist of getting together with 20 of my family members to attend super-hero movies (Avengers, Transformers, Sci-Fi Flicks, etc.).
In the last five years, what new belief, behavior or habit has most improved your life?
During the last five years, I decided to invest in both my personal and business development. As a Business Coach, I realized that I was ready to go to another level and therefore invested in a Business Coach. As a result of this decision, I have grown my business by 100%. It stretched my faith and made me more accountable for my success.
What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last six months (or recent memory)?
My new Webcam for video calling and recording has positively impacted my life in the last six months. It has enhanced my videos and training recordings.
What is the book (or books) you've given most as a gift, and why? Or what are books that have greatly influenced your life?
Circle Maker- “Praying Circles Around Your Biggest Dreams and Greatest Fears” – By Mark Batterson
Spiritually is a very important piece to my puzzle and that is why this book was so intriguing. It caused me to grow my faith, my level of expectation, and the type of prayers I pray around my life, family and business. I love this book so much; I have gifted to many people.
